Of ALL the sets Legend as ever owned or handled this by far is the greatest. Many years ago we did own a complete 1891 Ultra Cameo set (which is now in Japan), that is the only set to come close. A matched original GOLD Proof set is rarer then ANY silver proof set (which we love as much as anything). You will see a very rare and occasional Cameo Proof set from the 90s, but this date-NEVER (along with most from 1901-1907)! It took us 2 months to buy  this fresh to market the set. It did not come cheap.  You have to understand, there are NO correct published values for the majority of these coins. Add the fact it is a rare matched set-and the value only grows. The deep and super flashy mirrors also can be seen every where. The mirrors do have remarkable clarity and cleanliness. There are NO spots or discolorations anywhere. This piece is gently toned like all the others-a deeper yellow gold color. Miss Liberty and every detail are needle sharp and have thicker frost. There is some contrast on this piece. PCGS 1, NGC 1, CAC 1. $10 1902 PCGS PR67 CAC Not only is this coin more then worthy of being designated the FINEST 1902 Proof $10 ever, it is more then worthy of its grade too! Incredible deep mirrors beam vividly from all over. The mirrors offer strong clarity, cleanliness, and of course bold flash. The same light toning that is seen on the others is here too. The color is also the same deep yellow. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and are fully struck. There is some light contrast. We grade the coin a full PR65+.9! Superior original deep mirrors powerfully beam from all over. The mirrors are incredibly clean, have strong clarity, and are highly reflective. The color of this GEM is the same as the others-deeper gold with a hint of light toning. There is some light contrast here too. To know how special and different this set is-you need to understand how Proof coins AFTER 1901 come. They are typically soiled, have dull mirrors, and just do not look good. Each coin in this set on their own would be coins to die for! So having a totally MATCHED ORIGINAL SET is beyond comprehensible. About the value, you can NOT even go by Collectors Universe as a semi guide. Since nothing similar has EVER traded, the values reflect nothing. Example, the $10 PR67-Collectors Universe has only $95,000.00. It is well agreed by our fellow dealers who handle Proof Gold that ANY PR67 $10 is worth at least $125,000.00-and we know of two dealers who WILL happily pay that. In addition, there is a premium for the entire set (we figured it around 8%). Any buyer of this set should know Legend did pay well above $300,000.00 for it-and would happily buy it back at where ever the current market would be. Speaking of current markets, if you are a Proof Gold buyer, you will have noticed over the past 2 years, there has been almost NO proof gold offered ANYWHERE. It is our strong belief we bought and are offering this set at the current market. ANY GEM Proof cool gold has been selling for “moon money” at auctions because so little of it appears.
