SET 1860 1C-$1.00 PCGS PR64-PR66

Even though 1,000 sets were minted, most were melted because of poor sales. If we had to guess, we think no more than 6-10 ORGINAL sets still exist. And no more than 2-3 are GEM sets. We ALWAYS buy matched original PR sets whenever we can. We call them the “last frontier” in numismatics.

This set is amazing. There is NO question of its originality or the fact these coins have survived 149 years together (and a major Civil War). With exception of the 1C, each coin is pretty much batheed in a navy/forest green/magenta coloration. ALL of the coins do have clear, crisp, and flashy mirrors. This is NOT a dull or unattractive set!

1C PCGS PR64 GOLD CAC. This coin is pheneomenal! There is no visible reason for it to be in a PR64 holder-but as we all know, PCGS does not like copper these days.

3C PCGS PR64 CAC. Only a small hidden planchet flake keeps this coin from being a PR65+. The strike is unbelievable!

H.10C PCGS PR66 CAC. WOW! Ultra clean and deeply mirrors.

10C PCGS PR65 CAC. Super high end! Perfect mirrors. We sure do not see ANY flaws anywhere.

25C PCGS PR64CAMEO CAC. Another undergraded coin-possibly. There is a small dead fleck in the right field that is all that could hold it back from a PR65+.

50C PCGS PR65 CAC. You must see this coin yourself. It is an awesome PR65+++. And the mirrors are really flashy.

$1 PCGS PR65 CAC. The daddy of the set. This coin is all there and then some! The color might just be a little deep/sandy in the centers for it to be graded PR66-but it is NOT dull or ugly. Once you really give this coin a good look, you say WOW!
