We took this old friend in trade. Its a coin we are thrilled to own again as it is unquestionably one of the prettiest and highest graded Standard Silver patterns that exist. It is a low R-7 (meaning closer to 12 minted). It is a Standard Silver Quarter Pattern.
Superior deep mirrors are crystal clear, are super clean, and have bold reflectivity. The mirrors look like a freshly formed sheet of ice. We call this coin MODZILLA because it has such wild “mod” colors. Electric and totally original shades of royal blue/tangerine/gold/violet all evenly swirl together and cover both sides. Every detail is needle sharp in strike and has thick frost. The eye appeal is pure candy!
PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. This coin has no record of ever selling in auction. Do note than a regular design non pattern 25C 1870 NGC PR67 CAMEO CAC sold in auction for $23,500.00 11/2013 heritage. Sounds like this pattern is a wicked great value!
