J -72 50C 1838 PCGS PR66CAMEO

$15,950.00

This is a R-5 (31-75 minted) example of a Gobrercht designed Half Dollar. What a gorgeous coin!

Outstanding mirrors are deep, have crystal clear clarity, are clean, and have intense reflectivity. Only a few wispy light die polishing lines can be seen with a strong glass. The rims have a deeper mix of reddish gold/pale blue while the centers are a pale gold/silvery mix. This coin has never been dipped or messed with. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike and have thick frost. The eye appeal really is so spectacular even we can’t put this coin down!

PCGS 2, NGC 0, CAC 1. The only record of one of these ever selling was back in Goldberg 2012. That coin brought $12,650.00. We can’t stress enough the rarity and beauty of this piece. Think about how much a regular 1838 Half would cost in PR66 CA (at least $250,000.00 probably)! Even if you are not a Pattern collector, opportunity still knocks extremely loud here!
