J- 312 2C 1863 PCGS PR66BN

This is an R-4 (76-200 minted) Copper Pattern. It was a trial for the upcoming 2C pieces. The quality is superior to most and the originality is incredible!

Sensational surfaces have light mirrors. These 1863 2C Patterns were never known to have highly polished dies. There are NO spots or discolorations anywhere. The surfaces are an even ORIGINAL moderate chocolate on the obverse and chocolate/pinkish Mint Red on the reverse. Every detail is needle sharp in strike. The eye appeal is terrific!

PCGS 3, NGC 0, CAC 1. Only a NGC coin has sold in auction-that coin (a NON CAC) brought $3,220.00 08/07 Heritage. You can’t buy a regular PR65RD or even a PR66RB for $3,500.00 anymore! This coin in our opinion definitely represents a great value!
