J- 212 1C 1858 PCGS PR67 CAMEO
$15,000.00
Ever since we saw this coin we were in total awe. It is by far the BEST 1858 1C we have EVER seen-and we probably have seem more of these then any one. Who ever buys this will always have us looking over their shoulder waiting to own it again (plus they will have one heck of a coin)! It really is our absolute favorite purchase from the ANA Show.
This is a R-4 (76-200 made) test Pattern for the Indian cent design. It was stuck in copper nickel.
The mirrors are better then any you’ll find on 1859 Proofs! They are deep, clear, super clean, and have bold reflectivity. There are NO spots anywhere. The mirrors look like a very highly polished sheet of freshly made glass. A light hint of original gold covers both sides. There is a thin small band of original lilac color at 1-3 on the upper right obverse. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike and have thick creamy frost. The contrast is undeniable. The eye appeal is jaw dropping incredible!
PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. There is no auction record or even Collectors Universe Value for this coin. Keep these facts in mind, a regular 1859 PR has NO PR67 examples graded by PCGS. The lone PCGS 1859 PR67 NON Cameo NON CAC coin sold for $14,950.00 08/2011 Stacks. The commonest FE PCGS PR67 Cameo Proof would easily be a $75,000.00++ coin. The rarity and quality of this amazing piece can not be over hyped-it is the real deal!
