This is a R-6 (13-30 minted). It is a Copper Goloid Metric Dollar design (by William Barber). The ORIGINALITY and quality are PHENOMENAL!
Not over hyping when we say this piece is in the top 2% for the grade! Both sides have real deep, crystal clear, super clean, and incredibly reflective mirrors. There are may be two teenie scattered flecks/toning dots around-they are not negative. An awesome ORIGINAL mix of faded Mint red/pale chocolate brown/pale violet/some blue swirls all over the surfaces. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full strikes. Your jaw will drop and lock when it sees this outstanding KILLER coin!
PCGS 5, NGC 1, CAC 3. One of these (a NON CAC coin) sold for $9,775.00 in 02/2009 Heritage. The Judd book lists a PR65 at $9,500.00. We strongly believe what we are asking for this fresh to the market piece (it had been in a collection for at least 30+ years until now) is more than fair.
