One of the coolest Patterns ever minted-a mini Morgan Dollar basically. This specimen is the epitome of perfection! It is an R-6 (only 14-30 were ever minted). We are proud to own and offer one of the finest examples certified.
Perfect mirrors are ice like and have great reflectivity. An even layer of moderate purple/blue/violet colors swirl gently over both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck. If you use a very strong glass you can see a raised centering dot in the middle of her cheek (that is Mint made and does NOT detract). The eye appeal is wonderful!
PCGS 2, NGC 0, CAC 1. The last one of these to appear in major public auction was back in 1/08 Heritage where the coin sold for $38,812.00. The current 10th edition Judd book values these at $26,000.00 in PR65. NONE have been graded finer. The other PR67 is impounded in our customers world class finest ever Pattern Collection.
