This is an high R-7 (LESS THAN 10 were believed to have been minted). The Judd book states 3 are known. Some experts believe J-146 is an R-8 (the pops seem to prove that). We do have one of them in our FINEST EVER Pattern Collection-the Simpson Collection.
This coin is struck in silver. NO imperfections are visible . Using a strong glass, all you can see is some extra heavy die polishing. The mirrors are deep, clear, and have powerful reflectivity.
