This is a high R-6 (14-30 possibly minted). Struck in copper.
There could be 10,000 of these Seashore themed pieces minted, and this piece will still rank as one of the prettiest in existence! Its quality is also VERY high end. Both sides shimmer with superior deep, crystal clear, super clean, and intensely reflective mirrors. Plenty of ORIGINAL rich mint red color mixes with pale blue/copper/rose. There are ZERO spots or stains. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck and boldly stand out. The eye appeal is so incredible it will make your eyes pop out!
PCGS 3, NGC 1. NONE have been graded higher. A regular silver specimen of an 1875 PR 65 sells for $10-$12,000.00. Here you have a VERY HIGH END coin, the beautiful Seashore design that was not adopted, a coin struck in copper, and a series that is obsolete. How can this NOT be a tremendous value today?? There is very little to NO real premium here. The best part, you can’t go to every show or major auction and see one offered.
