J-1404 1875 PCGS PR65RB

This is total ‘eye candy’ for a Seashore piece. It’s rarity is R-6 (12-30 minted).

We love being able to get sensational pieces like this back (we handled this early last year). Everything about this coin is awesome! Both sides have amazing mirrors that are perfectly clean, crystal clear, and have tremendous reflectivity. The colors are a vivid original Mint Red/pale gold/blue/violet. Miss Liberty and the details are perfectly struck and have light frost. Why this coin is not a PR66RB we do not know. The eye appeal is totally jaw dropping memorable!

PCGS 3, NGC 0. There are none higher-although we placed a 66 in the Simspon pattern collection. So we question if this really could be the only PR65. regardless, it is still a phenomenal example of a beautiful design that never was. Certainly it is a very good value today as well-ANY regular PR65 1875 20C now sells for $9-10,000.00! The 2009 Judd book has a $10,000.00 value in PR65. Does Opportunity Knock here or what?
