This coin is an R-7 (4-12 minted). It is an aluminum test of the “seashore” design.

Superb deep, clear, and clean mirrors have unusually bold reflectivity. Aluminum coins are not so bold unless dipped-and this coin is not dipped. A few faint lines can be seen only with a glass. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and have silvery white frost. The eye appeal is terrific!

PCGS 1, NGC 0. CAC 1. The last one of this type to sell in a major auction was a PR64-back in 2004. That coin realized $12,219.00 ANR then. The Judd book estimates this coins value at $18,000.00. We highly doubt the opportunity to own another will ever happen!
