J-1322 $1 1873 PCGS PR65

$13,500.00

This is a high R-4 (meaning 76-100 pieces were minted). Struck in silver, this is a Trade Dollar pattern.

Housed in an old green tag holder, this coin is clearly SUPER HIGH END! We rank it as being in the top 2% for the grade and call it a 65.9. Both sides show off nothing but shimmering perfection. The mirrors are strong, clear, ultra clean, and do offer decent reflectivity. A moderate mix of beautiful “old time” olive/pale navy/rose/golden brown colors swirl all over the surfaces. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck. The eye appeal is terrific!

While not the rarest Trade Dollar Pattern, this still is not a coin you can see or find easily. PCGS 4, NGC 4. Only NGC has graded a single coin higher (a PR66).

An important price note: here is yet another pattern that has tremendous fundamental value. It is the SAME price as what an identical regular issue 1873 would sell for in the same grade! The pops on the regular PR 65 are: PCGS 4, NGC 14. We can not stress enough the strength of this as a good value. A PR66 would sell for $22,500.00+. Opportunity knocks loud here!
