J-1005 $1 1870 PCGS PR66RB

$15,500.00

This is a R-6 (13-20 minted) Silver Dollar struck in copper. Every thing about this GEM is perfect!

No question this coin was minted then carefully saved since 1870. There is not a flaw to be found anywhere. The mirrors are deep, clear, super clean, and have strong reflectivity. The colors are totally ORIGINAL brown/blue/pale violet/light red and swirl all over. There are no spots or stains. Miss Liberty and the details are incredibly struck. The eye appeal is phenomenal!

PCGS 2, NGC 1, CAC 1. Do not be fooled by the mintage-LESS then 30 coins is still a heck of a rarity. The last coin to show up in auction was back in 1999-and that was an NGC piece. The Judd book values these at $18,500.00 in PR65 (we do think that is slightly high). That means you can buy this off metal die trial for LESS than a regular GEM PR PCGS 66 Cameo would cost! Now that’s opportunity!
