J-0797 3CS 1870 PCGS PR-64

This is a very rare combination! Most 3CS patterns are R-7’s. This coin is one too (only 4-12 known).

Only some minor well hidden lines keep this coin from grading a full PR65. The mirrors are actually deep, clear, clean looking, and of course highly reflective. Some light gold is scattered about both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck. We can tell you this is one Pattern we have only ever seen one other of (in our amazing Simpson Collection). If you love Patterns, or collect everything 3CS, then this is a really rare opportunity! PCGS 3 (which we doubt), NGC 0. PCGS claims 2 in PR65. The finest is the NGC 67.
