KABOOM! This coin actually explodes with brilliance in front of you! It is an R-6 (12-30 minted). The obverse is the standard Shield design, while they tested out a wreath on the reverse.

Almost a full Deep cameo. The mirrors are crystal clear, super clean (we must note a tiny spot or two), and have powerful reflectivity. Every detail is incredibly struck and exhibits full frost. The eye appeal is sensational!

PCGS 4, NGC 0. The last one to appear in a major auction sold for $6,900.00 in 2/08 Heritage. In PR65 the 2009 Judd Book lists the value at $7,500.00. A regular 1866 5C Proof has 200 minted (and a pop of 29) and sells for about $7,500.00. Doesn’t this rare pattern sound a bit cheap??? We think so!
