Our eyes pop out when we study this coins ultra clean and nicely mirrored surfaces. The obverse is a beautiful heart-pounding RB while the reverse is more a mellow blue/RB color (possibly from lying on felt). There are NO spots or discolorations what so ever. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck. You can clearly tell this piece was carefully struck-and even more important, carefully preserved for the past 143 years. This is an R-7 with LESS than 12 minted. In regular Gold PR, there were only 25 minted. A Gold PR65 would easily cost $250,000.00, if you could even find one. This piece as you can see is only a small fraction of that price. We strongly believe Patterns like this have a long way to go before they are even close to being valued correctly (we think this at the very least should be a $100,000.00 coin).
