BRAND COLLECTION. A beautiful and extremely rare transitional piece. This is a R-7 (4-12 minted). Instead of being a NO MOTTO, this piece has a MOTTO.
Looks pretty much like any GEM Quarter would from 1864. Both sides have strong, crystal clear, clean, and boldly reflective mirrors. An elegant mix of deeper aqua blue/purple/royal blue swirls vividly. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike. The eye appeal is fabulous!
We think a coin like this would make a terrific addition to any Seated Quarter Collection, let alone Pattern set. We believe this piece maybe the second finest known (with the finest in our massive Simpson Pattern Collection. The populations are only showing a grand total of 5 possible coins certified (in all grades). There are NO auction records for any. This particular coin last appeared on the market in 1989.
