J-0203 1C 1858 NGC PR65 CAMEO

The design that almost was. Smaller Eagle. this coin is an R-5 (31-75 minted). It is made from copper nickel.

At first glance, you are greeted by deep, clear, clean, and glassy smooth mirrors that offer strong reflectivity. A few teenie toning dots are visible only w/a strong glass. The color is an even golden brown/reddish brown. All of the details are sharply struck and have light frost. The eye appeal is spectacular!

PCGS 4, NGC ?. PCGS/NGC have graded NONE higher, nor do we see any other Cameos listed. Similar to J-192+193, the rarity and pricing of this coin seems to be cheap. The Judd Book lists this coin at $6,000.00 in PR65.
