J-0072 1838 PCGS PR65 CAMEO

We are surprised this coin is an R-5 (31-76 minted). We believe that happened because it came very close to being the actual design to be used in coinage.

Stunning glassy mirrors blaze with flash and grab your immediate attention. There are NO problems visible-although if you use a strong glass you can detect some very minor planchet imperfections. A misty light to moderate spray of champagne/pale golden brown colors swirl on both sides. Miss Liberty is fully struck and have light creamy frost. This piece is well worthy of its cameoed designation. The eye appeal is a WOW!

This is the ONLY piece graded CAMEO by either service! In NON Cam the pops are PCGS 0, NGC 0. Although PCGS shows having graded 3 in PR66. his is a VERY rare coin that seems like it should be worth far more. Even though its an R-5, you never see them, let alone in stunning GEM condition like this. The 2009 Judd book values a PR65 at $12,000.00.
