Crisp, clear, clean, and highly reflective mirrors adorn both sides. They vividly bring out neon like colors of lime/blue/violet/golden brown that form a circle pattern on mostly the obverse. The reverse is more golden brown peripheries. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike and do stand out with thick silvery white frost. This is really a very beautiful GEM!
1861 PR coins are VERY undervalued (in our opinion). They do not survive in any quantity. Like the 1860, 1,000 pieces were minted and less than 400 are estimated to survive today.
