H.10 1861 NGC PR65

1861 has always been one of our favorite dates. You just can’t find many GEM pieces around.

This coin is ALL GEM ALL the time! Strong mirrors are extremely clean and do offer good reflectivity. A wonderful mix of navy/forest green/purple swirls about both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike and clearly are visible. This coin is very close to cameo status as well. Of the 1000 minted, most were melted due to poor sales of sets. It is estimated less then 400 pieces survived. PCGS 5, NGC 20.
