For BOTH PCGS and CAC to approve a high grade coin like this it has to be special. We think this coin was carefully saved since the day it left the bank until it was placed in the PCGS holder. It is every bit worthy of its lofty designation!

We looked at this coin over and over again using a high power glass. This coin has amazing ultra clean and satiny smooth surfaces. interestingly, this coin must have been struck several times as there are overlapping clash marks (all Mint made). A surprising full booming luster enhances moderate colors of olive/rose/pale navy that swirl all over. As we mention before, the strike is special and all details appear boldly. The eye appeal is wonderful!

PCGS 2, NGC 4, CAC 4 (we believe this is 2X). NO PCGS MS68 has ever sold in auction auction. However an 1859 PCGS CAC MS68 brought $11,163.0006/2015 (pop 2) while an 1863 (pop 3) brought $12,925.00 05/2015. We bought this SUPERB GEM really right and will pass on the savings!
