Rarely do we see ANY denomination in the 1850’s with exceptional proof mirrors-left alone a small Half Dime!
Much to our surprise, this coin is of VERY HIGH END quality. Typically, these come dull and flat. This coin is SUPERB!
Both sides exhibit crisp, clear, super clean, deep, and highly reflective mirrors. A moderate mix of olive/navy/golden brown colors evenly cover all of the surfaces (they do NOT dull the mirrors). Miss Liberty and the details are pinpoint sharp in strike and standout. The eye appeal is strong!
Less then 50 pieces were believed to have been minted. PCGS 4, NGC 4, CAC 1. PCGS has graded NONE higher, NGC has one coin a PR66. The current Collectors Universe price guide lists this coin at $16,000.00. Opportunity knocks loud here!
