Hard to believe, but this coin and the 50C 1815/2 were our #1 targeted coins to buy out of the sale. We could not get this coin out of our minds. Having built the #1 all time FINEST EVER MS Bust Half Dime set we knew how these come and how infrequently these appear. This coin really is special and is a 66.9+ in our opinion!
It basically seems like a Proof without mirrors. The surfaces are incredibly perfect-no matter how hard you study or how strong a glass you use. They do have a hint of a satiny texture. A moderate luster shows off rich totally ORIGINAL navy/purple/gold colors that re spread all over. The strike really blew us away. It was needle sharp with every detail fully standing out. The eye appeal is stunning!
PCGS 24, NGC 0, CAC 7. The last one to sell in auction was back in 2006. An PCGS CAC MS65 sold for $8,625.00 05/2012 Heritage. If you collect Bust Half Dimes you’ll know this is a tough date and tremendous opportunity!
