H.10 1805 PCGS XF45

PCGS certainly showed this coin NO mercy. We think this coin very easily could have graded AU 50. We did resubmit it once! Guess we can live with it as a high end piece.

At first glance, you clearly see ORIGINAL luster peaking from many different locations. When examining this piece carefully with a glass, you will find NO real problems. A wonderful and totally ORIGINAL pewter/silver color covers all of the surfaces. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck. Due to uneven striking pressure the reverse does have some flatness. The eye appeal is really great! Hard to believe, but we really do like looking at this piece.

ONLY 15,000 pieces were ever minted. PCGS 4, NGC 3, CAC 3 (really 2 as we did resubmit this coin). After 25+years of operations, PCGS has graded only a possible 7 coins higher. The last time one of these appeared in major auction-was back in 2005. Back then one realized $12,708.00 ANR. You can probably count on your hand how many times you have seen ANY other 1805 H.10 in the past decade being offered! Obviously since none have been sold, the printed prices are wrong.
