H.01 1848 RESTRIKE REV 1856 PCGS PR66BN MISSOURI
$18,500.00
We love this GEM. When you find a real PR have cent with some mirrors, they look incredible. This coin has both the good looks and great rarity a collector dreams about!
Moderate mirrors are clean, clear, and have decent reflectivity. A stunning blush of totally ORIGINAL brown/pale navy/violet colors swirl all over. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike and have thick frost. The eye appeal is awesome! Here is a partial description from Goldberg: “Bluish steel brown with traces of underlying faded mint red on the reverse. The fields are highly reflective with moderate to deep mirrors on both sides. There are some faint hairlines in the obverse fields and a tiny planchet flake in the field below the tip of the chin. Excellent eye appeal for the grade. This is the plate coin illustrating the variety on page 424 in the Breen encyclopedia.” You will NOT be disappointed here!
It is estimated LESS then 25 were minted. PCGS 1, NGC 2, CAC 1. An NGC coin sold in auction 02/09 Heritage for $13,800.00. Just imagine what this would cost if it were gold! This coin offered here has BOTH great quality and a tremendous pedigree.
