Being super secret copper weenies, we always buy outstanding pieces when ever we see them. To us, this coin was a “no brainer”. We can’t stress enough how really rare GEM ORIGINAL copper like this is.
Item This coin is awesome! There are actually clear hints of ORIGINAL Mint RD around the devices and in areas of the reverse. Only under a strong glass can you see some light toning spots. Overall, the surfaces are clean and almost velvety. The color is a smooth chocolate brown. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck. The eye appeal is tremendous!
PCGS 4, NGC 6, CAC 1. PCGS has graded NONE higher while NGC has one MS67. There are no accurate pricing guides-and no similar coins have been sold at any major auction since 2004! Regardless, you can reason out, that anything below $10,000.00 just sounds too cheap.
