We recently took this “old friend” back in trade. We absolutely LOVE this SUPERB GEM! We do think its heavens gift to Half Cents!
Virtually perfect surfaces are smooth and have just a few teenie scattered light toning dots. There are ZERO imperfections of any size anywhere. There actually is some luster visible. Most of the coin is a stunning even chocolate brown with hints of GEM Mint red peaking from the rims (mostly on the reverse). No question this coin is 100% totally ORIGINAL. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have amazing full strikes. This coin’s quality blows away so many other pieces that are out there. The eye appeal is totally jaw dropping!
PCGS 4, NGC 6, CAC 1. PCGS has graded NONE higher while NGC has one. Get this, the last PCGS one of these auctioned was back in 2002! An NGC sold for $4,715.00 in 2004 Heritage. That should be solid proof as to how rare this date and grade is. Opportunity more than knocks loud here for any serious Half Cent collector!
