When ever we see a truly remarkable coin from 1793 we buy it! This coin boggles our minds as to how it has survived for so long is such a great state of preservation.
To start, this coin is struck on a problem free planchet. It is also well centered. There is no hint of any old cleaning or ever having been messed with. The surfaces have no visible hits and look smooth. Both sides are an even moderate chocolate color. Miss Liberty and the details are amazingly struck and do appear boldly. All the wear is incredibly light and does not stand out. At first glance you do think the coin has MS tendencies. This is why we call it a GEM AU. The eye appeal is fantastic!
