How in the world did this magnificent specimen survive 132 years in such a remarkable state of perfection? When we view this coin it actually makes us quiver. It has “roll your eye balls” monster looks!
Amazing surfaces are sleek and have full prooflike mirrors. Only a microscopic planchet imperfection or two can be found if you look really hard with a really strong glass. To the naked eye all you see is perfection. Both sades radiate with a nearly blinding luster. Plus the flash from the mirrors is tremendous. Original colors of deep orange/pale reddish gold swirl all over. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike and stand out with thick gold frost. The eye appeal is incredible!
PCGS 12, NGC 10, CAC 5. The piece we purchased to replace this cost us $18,800.00 and was from the 08/2015 auction (it was only slightly nicer)This piece will be a stand out in ANY SUPERB GEM collection!
