Every time we see one of these we shake our heads in amazement how people actually could have carried and spent them. So when we find a SUPERB GEM like this thats 131 years old and looks new we really shake our heads!
Slightly semi-prooflike surfaces are also slightly satiny. you do not need a glass to admire the coins cleanliness. Both sides have a booming luster that’s shows off bright yellow gold color. To further prove originality, there are a few teenie pinpoint copper stains on the reverse. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full strikes. The eye appeal is great!
PCGS 118, NGC 73, CAC 35. Do NOT be fooled by the pops, there is no such thing as a “common” MS67 Gold Dollar. The last one to sell in a major auction brought $4,259.00 07/2013 Heritage.
