G $1 1871 PCGS MS67+ EX SIMPSON

Its hard to imagine that a finer 1857 G $1 does exist. The coin we are offering here in our opinion, ranks as one of the greatest PR 1860 Gold Dollars in existence! You know for it to be included in the Simpson Collection it had to be special.

Outrageous surfaces are flawless. A strong trace of semi-prooflike mirrors combines with a slightly satiny texture for an imposing appearance. Both sides are a marvelous and totally original deep orange/pale reddish gold colors. There are NO spots or stains. Miss Liberty and the details are so sharply struck they look sculpted. Every detail is also thickly frosted. The eye appeal is tremendous!

PCGS 6, NGC 3, CAC 3. The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $18,400.00 08/2011. This piece was replaced by an 1857 that has no right to even exist! We paid $35,250.00 for no question the finest MS68.This coin is pretty much the same killer look, but a lot less money!
