This coin is awesome! It is a near miss MS65. the colors will blow you away!
Semi satiny and prooflike surfaces have no problems. Some parts of the planchet were rough, but you can only see that under a glass. A full booming luster lights up the mind boggling two tone reddish gold/deep electric orange gold colors. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and are well struck. You can stand feet away from this coin and see its killer eye appeal!
Only 3900 pieces were minted. PCGS 19, NGC 22. There has not been one in major auction since 2007 (then one sold for $2,070.00 09/07 Heritage). Opportunity knocks loud here for any G $1 Collector, Gold Type collector, color gold collector, or a collector who loves low mintage gold.
