G $1 1853O PCGS MS65

This is definitely not a date or grade you ever see offered in GEM MS65. Recently we sold another one-which was the first example of this date we have ever handled. Its just a fluke that we found this coin a few weeks later.

Gorgeous and totally original surfaces and enlivened by a strong luster on both sides. There are NO discolorations or spots. Beautiful deep orange/pale green/gold colors cover both sides. Only a small line and some minor planchet roughness on the reverse can be detected with a glass-otherwise this coin has no imperfections. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. The eye appeal is terrific!

PCGS4, NGC 10, CAC 2. After twenty plus years of operations, PCGS has only graded 2 coins higher (both MS66’s) while NGC has a 66+67. We placed the other MS65, so this may very well be your only opportunity to acquire one of these in GEM for a very long time!
