5C 1888 PCGS PR67

Hard to believe, but after 29+ years of 3rd party grading, we rank this coin as one of the VERY BEST 1888 PR 5C in a holder (that we have ever seen)! We think it should be graded 67+. Guess PCGS does not (we see no reason why).
Moderate mirrors are normal depth for the date. However this coin has monster blast. The mirrors are ultra clean, have remarkable clarity, and do have good reflectivity. Plus, they are totally untoned. The mirrors look like a freshly formed sheet of ice. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and do have a moderate zesty coating of silvery white frost. The eye appeal is tremendous!
PCGS 6, NGC 13, CAC 4. PCGS/NGC have graded NOEN higher. The last PCGS PR67 (a NON CAC) that sold at auction was back in 09/2011 heritage. That coin brought $3,220.00. We’re pretty sure comparing this awesome coin to any other is like apples to oranges. If you are building the FINEST set , like the date, or liek rare coins, then you really should see this coin and buy it!
