VERY HIGH END! We do not see any reason why this coin is not graded a 67+ or even 68! Even we resubmitted it seeking a + at the very least. PCGS just will not show this coin love!
If you were dreaming of the perfect PR Liberty 5C from the 1880’s, then this is your coin. Both sides have phenomenal mirrors. They are deep, crystal clear, clean, and have intense reflectivity. There is one teenie toning spot on the reverse. The coin has a beautiful nickel/blue color. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike and have light frost. The eye appeal is like the quality-phenomenal!
PCGS 4, NGC 4, CAC 3. We cannot state enough, the great rarity this coin is. After 25+ years of operations for PCGS, for there only to be 4 in PR67? Thats rare! This coin brought $6,900.00 at the Heritage PR ANA Sale this summer. It quite possibly is the FINEST 1887 known!
