This wonderful SUPERB GEM is from the Oliver Jung Type Collection “The Type Collection” which was just broken up prior to the ANA Show. It was the all time #1 Type set ever built. Oliver had the best of the best in his set. For sure this coin ranks in that catagory!
Remarkable surfaces are pristine. Even when using a strong glass you won’t find any impairments-just a few neat Mint made die cracks. The luster is good. Both sides have a light dusting of original toning. There are NO spots anywhere. Every detail is crisp and stands out with a full strike. The eye appeal is excellent!
PCGS 10, NGC 5, CAC 5. These have become what we call “stupid cheap”. The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $2,820.00 way back in 08/2016 (a low price even back then). This is the first 1882 we have ever owned in MS67. Its been ages since we have even handled a single MS67 of any date. Opportunity knocks too loud here!
