We’ve probably handled 2000+ examples (various grades) of this date. For sure, this is one of the best 1947 P’s we remember seeing!
Fabulous surfaces are satiny smooth and are ultra clean. Even the dreaded right field-has NO PROBLEMS! How often do you see that? Both sides are loaded with luster and have a little color. The centers are an original creamy white while you see light reddish gold by the rims. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and do stand out. The eye appeal is phenomenal!
PCGS 55, NGC 62, CAC 21. We were shocked to see no PCGS CAC pieces have sold in auction since 01/2014. That coin brought a whopping $5,287.00. Don’t be fooled thinking this is a common date-it is not. Good luck finding another!
