50C 1938D PCGS MS67

$9,750.00

This is a stone MS67 everyday by anyone’s tough standards (as you can see CAC agrees). What makes it really special is the fact it has some color.

To start, the quality is phenomenal. Both sides are smooth, super clean (we see only one teenie tick on the obverse), and have a strong glossy luster. There is a gorgeous thin band of reddish gold/blue that frames most of the rims on BOTH sides. The centers are a lively but pale pewter/lavender combo. Miss Liberty and the details are so sharply struck you do NOT need a glass to the thumb split or full head. The eye appeal is great!

PCGS 25, NGC 19, CAC 6. The last two to sell in major public auctions brought $9,200.00 each (both Heritage sales in late 2009).
