We have not bought one of these since mid 2006. We just have not seen any we liked. This coin jumped out at us and was a “no brainer”!
No matter how picky you are, and if you love color, this coin WILL make you smile. The technical qualities are all there and then some. Both sides have exceptionally clean and boldly lustrous surfaces. All of the details are sharply struck. Just the right amount of amber/pale pearl green/reddish gold sprinkles color around the obverse to make a heart pound. The reverse has more electricity and the more of the same colors around the peripheries. The eye appeal is stunning!
If you seek one coin for a Type piece that has color, then this is it! PCGS 29, NGC 31. Just 5000 were minted.
