Legend Numismatics has always wanted to own an 1904S 50C. We were surprised when the bidding petered out early at the ANA Sale on this magnificent GEM. Keep in mind, this was the 04S included in the Duckor and James Stacks Collections-two of the greatest MS Barber Half sets ever built!
Our guess is this coin went right from the bank to safe storage for a very long time. We carefully examined the surfaces are deem them superior to most with not a single flaw to be found. Only with a strong glass can you find a Mint made minor adjustment lines. The luster is strong. A superb natural olive/champagne/golden brown/silver mix swirls all over. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and do stand out. The eye appeal is fantastic!
