50C 1893 PCGS PR64 CAMEO

$1,950.00

Using a strong glass, we see NO imperfections. In fact we unhesitatingly grade this coin a 64.8+ (we make NO guarantee it will 65)! PCGS probably felt the light toning could be used as a good excuse to not designate it a PR65 Cameo. The mirrors are deep, clear, clean, and do have powerful reflectivity. Both sides are partially covered by a light shade of pale purple. The way the toning is, we do not think this coin was ever dipped. Miss Liberty and the details are pinpoint sharp in strike and have thick creamy white frost. The eye appeal is neat!

Only 792 pieces were ever minted. PCGS 17, NGC 25, CAC 1. The last auction record for one of these was $1,840.00 04/09 Heritage.
