Not only does this wonderful coin exhibit great quality, but it exhibits a great pedigree too: Col Green/Newman. Obviously, it crossed from an NGC holder.
Deep, clear, super clean, and highly reflective mirrors has surprisingly strong blast. Only with a really strong glass can you detect some light scattered wispy lines. A beautiful thin band of electric original royal blue/violet/golden brown frames the rims only. Miss Liberty and the details are thickly frosted and have needle sharp strikes. The eye appeal is gorgeous!
ONLY 700 pieces were ever minted. PCGS 26, NGC 7, CAC 6. This coin sold in the Newman sale for $4,995.00 11/2013 Heritage. There is a record of a PR64 CAC selling for $9,106.00 04/2014 Heritage. We did NOT buy it there.
This should make a great addition to any choice Proof Half set or Type set. The next step up is at least $16,000.00-if you can even find one.
