We know for a fact, the PCGS MS66 coin (ex Pryor) was cracked out and sent to NGC where it was NCS’d and is now in a NGC MS67 holder and looks washed out. This happened a couple of years ago-before that occurred we were trying to buy the coin.
This coin is totally original and is really nice. You do need a glass to see any signs of wear (which is very light on the knee). Both sides have a really strong luster and that highlights exceptionally struck details. A lighter champagne color covers both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. The coin displays great eye appeal.
Even if you aren’t building an MS65 set, this coin has lasted 20+ years with no other new coins being graded higher by PCGS! PCSG 1, NGC 0. The price guides are grossly incorrect for this date. As of today, there NONE better in a PCGS holder.
