50C 1853 A/R PCGS MS66

$72,500.00

We know this coin is from a small group found a few years ago that produced at least one other MS66-and even one of the two (possible) MS67’s! For an 1853 A/R 50C, this coin is amazing! Yes, this coin is from the incredible Type set that got broken up at CSNS.

To start, this is a totally ORIGINAL SUPERB GEM. There are NO visible marks anywhere. Even with a strong glass you’ll only a teenie frost break or two and maybe a hairline. The surfaces do appear super satiny and smooth. Both sides do have an above average luster. This coin has NOT been dipped and has a pretty natural light gold/pewter color. Miss Liberty and the details are lightly frosted and do have full strikes. The eye appeal is great!

PCGS 4, NGC 14, CAC 1. PCGS may have graded two MS67’S. The last PCGS MS66 to sell in major auction was a NON CAC which brought $69,900.00 1/08 Heritage. You hardly ever see these in MS65, let alone to find an MS66. Opportunity does not just knock, it roars and punds here!
