Extremely clean and smooth surfaces highlight both sides. The luster is very strong and enlivens the moderate mix of pale forest green/olive/gold toning that swirls all over. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally well struck. Under magnification the 4/1 is perfectly visible. The eye appeal is fantastic!
This is a very scare date in all grades. PCGS 6, NGC 8. PCGS has only graded 10 coins higher. NOTE: Prior to this coin selling for $5,400.00, the last one to appear in a major auction brought $4,887.00 05/08 Heritage.
