$50 PAN PAC GOLD OCTAGONAL PCGS MS65

Never under estimate how rare these are in full MS65 or finer. Most of the numbers you see on the pop reports represent regrades. Both Rounds and Octagonals are some of the most heavily abused coins in terms of gradeflation and plain out doctoring. Fortunately, CAC has come along to make purchasing one of these big beauties safer.

Scrutinize this coin as hard as you can. You will find NO problems. There is NO evidence of it ever being messed with either. Both sides have smooth and intensely lustrous surfaces. The color is a bold gold-and there are NO discolorations any where. Minerva and all of the details are fully struck. Most important, her face is clean and not puttied (as so many are). The eye appeal is magnificent!

Legend purchased the last PCGS MS65 to sell in major auction. It sold for $161,000.00 in 09/08 Goldberg. Prior to that another sold in auction for $230,000.00 06/08 Stacks. We had been on the hunt for one of these for a few years (then we bought the one out of Goldberg last year). Do NOT think PCGS coins are available-they are NOT. We KNOW it was a fluke of the market and the economy that we were able to purchase this coin and offer it so reasonably. We highly doubt that this opportunity will ever rise again (note: even our MS64 PP Oct sold immediately). Also, do note, CAC just does not sticker any coin. We’ll bet that only one or two (of the GEM PP’s are green beaned).
