WOW! This coin is so nice, we had to fight it away pretty much from the dealer who had it in his personal collection. When he finally sold it to us, made us promise, if we do not sell it, he gets first shot!
What is a GEM AU? A GEM XF is a remarkably problem free and high end coin. Its hard to tell why this piece is not AU. You will see a few tick on this coin, but they are tiny and do not detract. Overall, the surfaces do appear clean and are totally Original. Some light luster is still visible. The color is a deep ORIGINAL gold. There are NO spots. All of the details are well struck. The eye appeal is fabulous!
PCGS 13, NGC 5, CAC 3. A NON CAC was the last coin to auction back in 2008. It brought $32,200.00. An XF40 brought $34,500.00 in Stacks 3/12. Our coin is not cheap, but then the quality is better than most XF’s you’ll ever see! We’re working really close on the price!
