This coin really does border on full MS65. It is extremely rare in GEM. For an 1909-S, this coin is really special.
Exceptional surfaces appear clean overall. Using a strong glass you will find on minor and scattered ticks/lines. Even the dreaded right reverse field is above average in cleanliness. A strong luster enhances the totally original even gold color. There are NO spots or discolorations. All of the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal is beautiful!
PCGS 16, NGC 8, CAC 7. PCGS has graded 5 in MS64+. We have seen 2 others and were NOT impressed. The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $26,400.00. Today, next step up would cost at least $50,000.00+-as there is only 1 CAC’d!
